Info: Hafslund Oslo Celsio (Fortum Oslo Varme) is Norway's largest district heating supplier and produces and distributes renewable thermal energy (district heating and cooling) in Greater Oslo.
Hafslund Oslo Celsio own and operate Norway's largest waste incineration plant located at Klemetsrud in Oslo. They ensure safe and environmentally friendly final treatment of waste that can not or should not be reused or recycled.
This year, Hafslund Oslo Celsio will start the construction of a carbon capture plant (CCS) at the waste incineration plant at Klemetsrud. The plant will be the world's first carbon capture plant at a waste incineration plant. The project is part of the Norwegian carbon capture and storage project, "Langskip".
At Klemetsrud, Hafslund Oslo Celsio also produces some electricity that is sold in the the power market. Hafslund Oslo Celsio has approx. 200 employees.
